What our Volunteers say:

“I have been provided with constant support and encouragement and also the understanding that volunteering for the Children’s Centre is a 2 way thing”.

“I have gained confidence in myself, attended various courses and made the decision to get a qualification in childcare.  In a nutshell, a very positive, worthwhile way to give your time”.

“My initial reasons for volunteering were to gain confidence and experience of being in the workplace, and also to give something back to the service which has been a major support, and dare I say it, lifeline, to my family over the years”.

“I feel that I have gained being part of a team, feeling a sense of worth and improved self-esteem”.

“Since I became a volunteer, I feel like a different person. I have developed new skills such as how to interact with new people and my confidence has improved. Volunteering here has even given me new ideas about parenting my own child”
